June, The Month to Shine

Our theme for June is to shine, and as the days grow longer and brighter, we are reminded of the importance of allowing ourselves to do the same. With the warmth of the sun on our faces and the benefit of natural vitamin D, this is a wonderful time to embrace the outdoors, nourish our bodies, and find joy in the things that make us feel most alive. Shining is about recognising your own strengths, celebrating small moments, and bringing kindness and positivity to those around you. Shine for yourself, and shine for others.

We are also celebrating men's health and connection this month. By popular request, we have launched a monthly men's discussion group, meeting over coffee on a Thursday morning. It is a relaxed and welcoming space to meet others, chat, and enjoy good company, and we are delighted to host it. The group is free of charge and open to all. Spaces are limited, so if you would like to join us, please call reception to reserve your place.

Recipes from the Nourishing Studio - June Sunshine Smoothie Bowl

With June bringing an abundance of beautiful seasonal fruit, this colourful smoothie bowl is a refreshing way to nourish your body and celebrate this month's theme of Shine.

Ingredients

• 1 frozen banana
• 1 handful of British strawberries
• 1 handful of raspberries
• 100ml coconut yoghurt or your favourite dairy-free alternative
• 1 tablespoon oats
• 1 teaspoon chia seeds

For the Topping

• Fresh strawberries
• Blueberries
• A sprinkle of granola
• Pumpkin seeds

Method

Blend the banana, strawberries, raspberries, yoghurt, oats, and chia seeds until smooth and creamy. Pour into a bowl and add your favourite toppings.
